Introducing Subas P. Dhakal, PhD
Subas P. Dhakal is currently an Associate Professor at the University of New England Business School (UNEBS) in Armidale, Australia. He is an alumnus of Missouri Western State University (BSc) and Mahidol University (MSc). His career began as a communication officer in an integrated conservation and development project (ICDP) funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in South Asia. He holds a PhD in Sustainability and Technology Policy from Murdoch University in Western Australia.
Some of the highlights of his career include:
- A prolific Business professor and researcher with over 50+ high-impact research outputs
- Serving as a Region-1 (ACT/NSW) member in the ANZAM Board
- Director of MBA and MBA-International Programs (UNEBS 2022 – 2024)
His work centers on applying management policies and strategies to solve contemporary economic, environmental, and social challenges to advance the 2030 agenda in Asia Pacific/South Asia, including Indonesia.

Sustainable development, the future workforce, digital transformation, and capacity building are only some of the focus areas that Angin Dampak Jaya has collaborated with Subas P. Dhakal on, with impactful results towards policy change and the building of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Indonesia. With Subas P. Dhakal as part of our Advisory Board, we hope to gain a deeper understanding and fresher perspectives in our research through INTRA Institute and more impactful results towards Indonesia’s data-based policies and advocacies in the long run.
