Please welcome the newest member of Angin Dampak Jaya’s Advisors Committee, Thomas Oni Veriasa!
Thomas Oni Veriasa is a researcher at IPB University‘s Center for Regional Systems Analysis, Planning and Development (CRESPENT/P4W), Bogor, and former Executive Director of the Lembaga Alam Tropika Indonesia (LATIN). Additionally, his career spans over two decades in social forestry policy, climate finance, and the governance of forest and land resources at the community level. In addition, he holds a Master’s degree in Regional Planning and Rural Development from IPB University.
Summing up, a number of his notable achievements include:
- Over 20 publications across peer-reviewed journals, books, and technical reports, covering social forestry, climate finance, and community-based resource governance
- Consulted by the World Bank, UNDP, GIZ, USAID, and multiple Indonesian ministries, including Bappenas and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry
- Recipient of the Grassroots Science Advice Promotion Award 2021 from the International Network of Government Science Advice (INGSA) Asia
